Ten years in the trade, then this company

Aden Integrated Services Ltd is a Calgary contractor specializing in asbestos abatement, vermiculite and textured ceiling removal, mould remediation, interior demolition, and fire and water damage restoration.

The company was incorporated in July 2026. The reason for it goes back a lot further than that, to the work itself.

Ten years learning where this work goes wrong

I learned this trade working for other companies here in Calgary, and I did it for more than ten years. That is long enough to be trusted on your own — and long enough to learn exactly where this work goes wrong. Containment rushed. Material coming out dry instead of wet. Waste leaving a site without a manifest. Every one of those is avoidable, and every one of them comes from working faster than the job allows.

None of it is ever visible to the person paying for it. That is what makes this trade different from most: you cannot inspect the work, because by the time anyone could look, the containment is down and the material is gone. Eventually I decided the only way to be certain a job is done properly is to be the one answering for it.

Asbestos abatement is invisible work. Done right, nobody sees it — sealed containment, negative pressure held and logged, air changes maintained, waste manifested to the landfill under permit. Done wrong, nobody sees that either. Not for twenty years. That asymmetry is why corners get cut in this trade, and it is the reason this company is built the way it is.

How we work

Test before you spend. Not all vermiculite contains asbestos. Not all textured ceilings do. We tell people to test first even when testing means there is no removal job for us — because the alternative is selling somebody a $12,000 abatement they did not need.

Fixed, itemized prices. Quoted after a site visit, in writing, with commencement and completion dates. No open-ended hourly work on residential jobs, and no verbal numbers over the phone.

Published ranges. Most of this industry will not put a number on a page. Ours are published, so you can tell a fair quote from a bad one before you call anybody.

We tell you when it is not our job. If the work needs a trade we are not certified for, we will say so and tell you to hire that trade, even when it costs us part of the job. If your ceiling tests clean, a painter can scrape it and we will tell you that too.

Documentation you keep. Air clearance results, waste manifests, and the Alberta OHS project notification go to you, not just into our file. If you sell the house, that paperwork is worth having.

The compliance side, built before the first dollar

All of this costs real money before it earns any, which is why it is easy to put off. We did it first, because the family in that house has no way to verify any of it themselves — the paperwork is the only thing standing between them and simply taking our word for it.
