We are building a bench of properly ticketed, fit-tested people we can call on for asbestos abatement, mould remediation and interior demolition across Calgary and area.
If you are already in this trade, you know what a badly run job looks like. That is the thing this company was started to avoid.
Who we want to hear from
- Abatement workers holding a valid Alberta asbestos worker certificate and a current respirator fit test.
- Lead hands and supervisors who can run a containment, hold and log negative pressure, and be responsible for other people on site.
- Interior demolition and strip-out labour — steady, careful workers who protect the parts of a building that are staying.
- Experienced people between jobs who want work they can pick up when it suits them.
What we ask for
A current respirator fit test and a valid asbestos worker certificate from a government-approved course are the two that matter most — Alberta’s OHS Code does not allow anyone into a restricted area without the certificate, and a tight-fitting respirator is useless without the fit test. Beyond that, tell us what you hold — WHMIS, first aid, fall protection, confined space, aerial or scissor lift tickets are all useful, and attic and crawl-space abatement is confined space work in Alberta.
If you are missing a ticket or two, still get in touch and say which. We would rather know upfront than find out on site. Tell us what you have, what has expired, and what you are willing to get.
Reliable transport and the ability to be at a Calgary jobsite on time matter as much as any card.
How we run jobs
Straight, so you know what you are walking into:
- Covered properly. Everyone working for us is covered under our WCB Alberta account. We carry $5 million commercial general liability and $5 million contractors pollution liability.
- Documented. Field-level hazard assessments on every job. Project notifications filed. Waste manifested. If something is not safe to do, we stop and sort it out rather than working around it.
- Proper equipment. Containment built properly, negative air run and logged, decent PPE. You will not be asked to make do.
- Honest scheduling. Work comes in waves in this trade. We will tell you what we actually have rather than stringing you along.
- Paid on time. Rates depend on your tickets and experience and are agreed before you start — no surprises either way.
The work, honestly
It is hot, physical and slow, and most of it happens inside a sealed containment in a respirator. Attics in summer are the worst of it. The pace is deliberate because rushing is how material goes airborne and how people get hurt.
If that is the job you already do and you do it properly, you will fit here.
