An abatement subcontractor who arrives with the paperwork
You have a spec that asks for a Code of Practice, an air monitoring plan and DOP test records. We already have them.

Most general contractors do not have an asbestos problem until the day they do. A pre-1990 building comes apart, the spec has a hazardous materials section nobody priced properly, and suddenly you need a sub who is carded, insured for pollution and able to produce a submittals package before anyone is allowed to start.
That is the work we want. Here is what you get and what you do not, without having to ask twice.
What we bring to your site
- Carded abatement labour. Alberta asbestos worker certification, quantitative fit testing on full facepiece respirators, TDG certification for hauling the waste, and current first aid.
- The submittals your spec asks for. Code of Practice, asbestos control plan, air monitoring plan, DOP and HEPA filter test records, waste disposal procedure, worker protection information, and proof of the 72-hour Alberta OHS notification filed for the address.
- Containment that holds. Negative pressure verified with a manometer and smoke-tested before each shift, minimum four air changes an hour, three-stage decontamination where the classification requires it.
- Independent clearance. Air clearance is arranged through a third party, inside the containment, before the poly comes down. We are not the ones certifying our own work.
- Documented disposal. Waste to a landfill under permit, with the weight ticket and paperwork handed over.
- Testing before the swing. If the survey is thin or missing, we sample and get you a laboratory result rather than letting your crew find out the hard way.
Insurance and coverage
$5,000,000 commercial general liability and $5,000,000 contractors pollution liability, written on a shared limit, plus products and completed operations, personal injury, tenant’s legal liability and non-owned auto. WCB account in good standing with a clearance letter available on request. City of Calgary business licence BL306638. Full detail is on our certifications and insurance page, and a certificate naming you as additional insured, primary and non-contributory, with waiver of subrogation, is usually same-day from our broker.
What we will not do
We would rather you knew this at tender than on site.
- No live electrical work. Isolation and termination is a certified electrical contractor’s job under the Safety Codes Act, and we will tell you what needs doing before we mobilise.
- No hot work. Our policy excludes open flame and torch work, so it has to sit with another trade.
- We do not certify our own clearance. Third party, always.
- We do not quote a classification down to win a job. If your spec calls the work high risk and it is high risk, our price reflects a decontamination unit and powered respirators, because that is what the work actually takes.
Bonding, plainly
We carry a $25,000 surety bond. That is consumer-protection security under Alberta’s prepaid contracting rules — it is not construction performance bonding capacity. If your contract requires 50 percent performance and labour and material payment bonds, tell us at tender and we will give you a straight answer on whether we can meet it rather than finding out at award.
How to get a price
Send the hazardous materials section, the survey if there is one, and the drawings. You get a written sub price with the scope, the exclusions and the risk classification stated, and a person on the phone within the hour on any working day. If it is not our scope we will say so the same day and point you at someone rather than sit on it.
Send us the spec or call (403) 477-2281.
Frequently asked questions
Can you provide a certificate naming us as additional insured?
Yes. Additional insured, primary and non-contributory, waiver of subrogation, cross liability and severability, and 30 days notice of cancellation are all available, and our broker normally turns a certificate around the same day.
What submittals can you produce before mobilisation?
Code of Practice, asbestos control plan, air monitoring plan, DOP and HEPA filter test records, disposal procedure, worker protection information, proof of the 72-hour OHS notification, worker certification and fit test records, WCB clearance and the insurance certificate.
Do you handle the OHS notification?
Yes, and it is filed per address rather than per project. Alberta requires it 72 hours before work that may release fibres, and the clock runs from acknowledgement of receipt, not from when you send it, so it needs to be in early.
What is your response time?
A person calls back within the hour, any day. If we cannot take the work — booked, wrong trade, outside our area — we tell you inside that hour and point you to someone who can.
Do you work outside Calgary?
Yes, across the Calgary region and as far as Red Deer and Drumheller. Travel and the disposal routing for the specific town are priced into the written quote, because not every regional landfill accepts asbestos.
One call covers it all
Asbestos Removal
Asbestos was used for decades in Calgary homes and buildings, and it has to be removed safely before renovation or demolition can continue.
Asbestos Testing
Before you renovate, demolish, or buy an older property, know exactly what's in it — lab-verified testing with fast results.
What It Costs
Sampling visits, per-sample lab fees and removal ranges, published in full rather than quoted on the phone.
