Water damage gets worse by the hour. Fast extraction and drying is what prevents mold and structural damage.
Water damage gets worse by the hour. Within minutes it wicks up drywall and into flooring; within a day, swelling, delamination, and staining set in; within about 48 hours, mold starts. In the Calgary area the common causes are burst and frozen pipes, appliance and water-heater failures, sewer backups, ice damming, spring melt, and overland flooding. Whatever the source, the response is the same: get the water out fast and dry the structure properly.
1. 24/7 emergency extraction. We respond around the clock. Standing water comes out with truck-mounted and portable extractors, and we stop the source if it's still running.
2. Assessment and moisture mapping. Moisture meters and thermal imaging find the water you can't see — inside wall cavities, under flooring, above ceilings. This is what separates proper drying from a carpet fan and crossed fingers.
3. Structural drying. Commercial air movers and dehumidifiers dry the structure to verified target levels, monitored daily and logged for your insurer.
4. Sanitization. Sewer backups and outdoor flooding are contaminated water. Affected areas are cleaned and disinfected, and unsalvageable porous materials are removed safely — with asbestos testing first in older homes.
5. Restoration. Removed drywall, insulation, and flooring are rebuilt by the same team, through to final cleaning.
The difference between a two-day dry-out and a full basement gut is usually response time. Calling within the first hours keeps drywall, flooring, and framing salvageable — and keeps mold remediation off the invoice entirely.
We provide water damage restoration across Calgary and the surrounding communities, including Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, Chestermere, Strathmore, High River, Red Deer.
If safe, stop the water at the source (main shutoff for pipe breaks), kill power to affected areas at the breaker, and move valuables up off the floor. Don't use a household vacuum on standing water, and stay out of rooms with sagging ceilings.
Typically three to five days for structural drying, depending on how much water, how long it sat, and what materials were soaked. We verify with moisture readings rather than guessing.
Sudden and accidental water damage (burst pipes, appliance failures) is usually covered. Sewer backup and overland flooding often require separate endorsements. We document the loss thoroughly either way.
Often, yes — if drying starts within the first day or two. Once materials have sat wet past the mold threshold, selective removal becomes necessary. Speed decides.
Asbestos was used for decades in Calgary homes and buildings, and it has to be removed safely before renovation or demolition can continue.
Before you renovate, demolish, or buy an older property, know exactly what's in it — lab-verified testing with fast results.
Vermiculite attic insulation often contains asbestos. We test it, remove it safely, and document everything.
