Moving in Calgary, with the price published

Hourly rates

Two-hour minimum plus one hour of travel, then billed in fifteen-minute blocks. So the smallest hourly move is three billed hours — $417 with two movers, $567 with three. Blankets, straps, dollies and floor protection are included.

How the hours are counted

One hour of travel is billed on every move. That is the Calgary standard and it covers getting the van to you and back at the end — the difference is that ours is on the quote you agree to, not a line you find on the invoice afterwards.

Beyond that you pay for the time worked. The clock runs from when we start loading to when the last item is off the van, in fifteen-minute blocks after the minimum. If a job is going to run long we tell you while it is happening, not when we hand you the bill.

Commercial and office moves

Offices, retail units and tenant moves are quoted per job rather than by the hour, because they usually run outside business hours and need a schedule rather than a crew and a van. Tell us the square footage, the floor, lift access and the date and you will get a fixed price.

Quoted separately

• Pianos, safes, gym equipment and anything over 300 lb
• Packing and unpacking, and packing materials
• Storage — we do not have a storage facility, so we will point you at one
• Long-distance and out-of-province moves — we work in Calgary and the towns listed below

All prices exclude GST and are current as of October 2026. You get a written quote before anything starts, and we do not take a deposit.

If the job runs over

Alberta's consumer protection rules limit how far a final bill can go past a written estimate without your agreement, and we work to that. If a job looks like it is going to run past the quote, you hear it from us before it does — not afterwards — and we get your agreement in writing before carrying on. If you would rather we stopped at the quoted figure, we stop.

No surprise invoice, and nothing added at the end that you did not say yes to.

Outside Calgary

Calgary prices include travel. Beyond the city a travel charge applies, with a minimum job value so the drive is worth making:

If the place has to be handed back clean, we do that too, and doing both in one booking is cheaper than two contractors on two days. See house cleaning for move-out prices, and junk removal for whatever is not coming with you.
