Where We Work

Serving Calgary and the surrounding communities

Choose your area to learn more about our services near you.

We are based in Calgary and work across the city and the communities around it. Most of our asbestos, vermiculite and textured-ceiling work is in housing built between the 1950s and the early 1990s, which is a large share of the stock in every one of these places — the older neighbourhoods of Calgary above all, but also the original town cores of Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, High River and Strathmore, and the postwar bungalows of Red Deer.

Travel is built into the quote, not added afterwards. A site visit in Chestermere or Cochrane costs the same as one across town, and we give the same fixed, itemized price with commencement and completion dates in writing wherever the job is.

Why so much of this work sits in one age of house

Asbestos was used in Canadian residential construction until the products were phased out through the late 1980s. That is why almost everything we do — vermiculite in attics, textured and stipple ceilings, floor tile and the black mastic under it, drywall joint compound, pipe and duct wrap — sits in housing built between the 1950s and the early 1990s.

Every community on this page has a large share of that stock. The inner-city and postwar neighbourhoods of Calgary above all, but also the original town cores of Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, High River and Strathmore, and the older bungalows of Red Deer. Newer subdivisions on the edges of those same towns are usually clear — which is worth knowing before anyone books a test they do not need.

The one rule that catches Calgary homeowners

Inside the City of Calgary, a building or demolition permit on a house built before 1990 will not be released until the Asbestos Abatement Information form has been filed. You cannot tick the box saying there is no asbestos without a laboratory result behind it. That single form stalls more renovations than any other piece of paper in this trade, and it is the reason a lot of people find us.

Outside the city, the requirement is set by each municipality and it is not identical. Confirm your own project with the local permit office before you rely on anything here.

Where the waste actually goes

Wherever the job is, asbestos waste from this region goes to Shepard Landfill in Calgary, — for a contractor, under a City of Calgary Industrial Waste Permit and a booked appointment. No other facility in the area takes it. If a contractor cannot tell you which landfill your waste is going to and produce the weight ticket afterwards, that is the question to keep asking.

Travel is in the quote, not added afterwards

A site visit in Chestermere or Cochrane costs the same as one across town. You get the same fixed, itemized price with commencement and completion dates in writing wherever the job is. The one place distance shows up is sampling: an attendance outside Calgary carries a published surcharge, which you can see on our pricing page before you book anything.

If you are outside the areas listed below, call anyway. We take work further out when the job justifies it, and we will tell you honestly when it does not.

What we do across all of these areas

Asbestos removal and testing, vermiculite and Zonolite attics, popcorn and stipple ceilings, floor tile and mastic, mold remediation, water and fire damage restoration, interior demolition and post-construction cleaning. Licensed, bonded and insured, WCB covered, with third-party air clearance on every abatement.

We added six more towns in September 2026: Crossfield and Carstairs on the Highway 2A run north of Airdrie, Didsbury and Olds halfway to Red Deer, Canmore in the Bow Valley, and Drumheller and its valley hamlets. We also take work in Banff, Three Hills, Nanton and Diamond Valley; there is no separate page for those yet, so call and we will tell you straight away whether we can help.

Permit and disposal requirements change and differ by municipality. Confirm your own project with your local permit office, and with Alberta OHS, before relying on this page.
