A full load is a packed cube van. Smaller jobs go in the cargo van. The price includes our labour, the haul and the tipping fee at the landfill.

Where the price changes
- Renovation and construction debris is charged at the construction rate. The City adds a surcharge of $180 a tonne to any load that is 10% or more construction material, and loads are inspected at random — so it has to be priced in rather than absorbed.
- Heavy material — concrete, brick, soil, plaster, tile — is quoted by weight, not by volume. Half a van of concrete weighs more than a full van of furniture.
- Mixed loads are charged at the highest rate in the load. One bag of drywall in with the household waste makes it a drywall load at the landfill, not a household one.
- Stairs and long carries are allowed for in the quote. Tell us which floor and whether there is a lift.
What we cannot take
Household hazardous waste — paint, solvents, fuel, chemicals, batteries, propane. Alberta regulates the carriage of hazardous waste and our insurance carries a disposal facility exclusion, so those go to a City household hazardous waste drop-off, not in our van. We will tell you where.
Asbestos-containing material is different again. That is not junk removal, it is abatement — see asbestos removal. We hold a City of Calgary Industrial Waste Permit for it and it goes to Shepard by appointment, bagged and manifested.
No bin rental
We do not rent bins at the moment. If what you need is a bin sat on the drive for a week, a bin company is the right call and we will say so. What we are good at is turning up, loading it ourselves and taking it away the same day.
All prices exclude GST and are current as of October 2026. You get a written quote before anything starts, and we do not take a deposit.
If the job runs over
Alberta's consumer protection rules limit how far a final bill can go past a written estimate without your agreement, and we work to that. If a job looks like it is going to run past the quote, you hear it from us before it does — not afterwards — and we get your agreement in writing before carrying on. If you would rather we stopped at the quoted figure, we stop.
No surprise invoice, and nothing added at the end that you did not say yes to.
Outside Calgary
Calgary prices include travel. Beyond the city a travel charge applies, with a minimum job value so the drive is worth making:

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to carry anything out?
No. Point at it and we load it. If it is somewhere awkward — a crawl space, a third-floor walk-up — tell us when you book so the quote allows for it.
Can you come the same day?
Often, yes. Call rather than email if it is urgent.
What happens to it?
Metal goes to scrap, anything reusable goes to a charity where they will take it, the rest goes to the City landfill. You get the scale ticket either way.
Do you clear whole houses?
Yes — estates, foreclosures, hoarding situations and rental clear-outs. Those are quoted after a look rather than over the phone.
