Is the booking confirmed straight away?

No. You choose two dates that suit you and we confirm one of them, or offer another, within one hour, any day. Nothing is locked in until you hear from a person.

Is the estimate on the booking page the final price?

For testing and sampling it is calculated from our published prices and is normally what you pay, plus GST. Travel outside our published list of towns is confirmed when we book. Removal, remediation and demolition work is always quoted in writing after a site visit.

What if the material has already been disturbed?

Tick the urgent box on the form and call us on (403) 477-2281 rather than waiting for a booked date. Close the room, keep people out, and do not vacuum.

Do I need to own the property to book?

You need to be the owner or have the owner's permission. Sampling and abatement both require the owner's written authorization, which we bring with us on the day.

Keeping the cost down? One sample is a screening test, from $310. If it comes back positive, that is your answer — the whole area is treated as asbestos-containing and no more testing is needed. If it comes back clean, it only tells you about that one spot. Three samples from different parts of the material is the Alberta minimum for a room and the one to choose for peace of mind, or for a result you can show a buyer, an insurer or the City. Vermiculite is always at least three.
